The usefulness of a reservoir is directly affected by the accumulation of sediment within the reservoir space.The sedimentation survey is conducted every year to estimate the reservoir capacity.The GPS system is employed to collect coordinate data of the reservoir control sections,so the sediment accumulation can be calculated effectively. According to the sedimentation survey results,we are able to adjust our future sedimentation prevention and reduction strategies.
