Species RestorationRhododendron kanehirai Wilson, the gorgeous flowers growing-around Peishih Creek, were once believed to be extinct due to habitat destruction. In 1992, Taiwan Endemic Species Research Institute launched the Endangered Species Recovery Plan to restore several endangered species, including Rhododendron kanehirai Wilson. Through close cooperation with the institute, Taipei Feitsui Reservoir Administration has successfully restored the species to our office nearby its natural habitat.
