The dam and its related facilities are equipped with 20 kinds of instruments, including plumblines, strain meters, stress meters, uplift pressure pipes, weir stations, strong-motion accelerograph and so on. Most of the instruments installed in the main dam are normally observed or measured by the telemetric system. These instruments monitor the structural behavior of the dam and its related facilities.They can also help detect and analyze potential problems that might occur. For data analysis, a real-time dam safety evaluation system is developed to check the dam behavior.
