No radionuclide detected in Feitsui reservoir water.

In react to Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident,Taipei Feitsui Reservoir Administration (TFRA) took reservoir water sample to Nuclear Science and Technology Development Center of National Tsing Hua Uinversity to examine the nuclear pollution and no radionuclide was detected as of June 29th.
After the Fukushima nuclear crisis, TFRA monitored the water quality strictly. Since March 18th, TFRA took reservoir water samples and sending them to a specialized nuclear examination laboratory for a thorough examination. So far, thirty one examinations have been executed and no radionuclide was detected in each exam.
According to TFRA, Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear leakage accident has been reduced and is under control. Water Resources Agency (WRA) of Ministry of Economics Affairs announced on May 30th to stop the examination. TFRA bears the responsibility to supply more than five million people living in Taipei metropolis, TFRA continues to exam the nuclear pollution in the reservoir before the suspended announcement made by WRA. By 29th of June, the examination results still show no radionuclide detected in Feitsui reservoir water. Therefore, regular water examination will take place at the Feitsui reservoir on 30th of June.
