Taipei Feitsui Reservoir Administration offers the indigenous residents shuttle boats services on Chinese Tomb Sweeping Day

In order to help the indigenous residents in the south of the Feitsui reservoir return to where they lived to worship their ancestors, Taipei Feitsui Reservoir Administration will dispatch shuttle boats on April 4th and 5th to help them cross the reservoir on Chinese Tomb Sweeping Day.

According to commissioner Lin Yu-Yi, after the Feitsui Reservoir was completed and started operating in 1987, In order to solve the inconvenient transportation problem for the residents in the water catchment area of the reservoir, more than 300 households were relocated outside the reservoir in 2000. However, there are still 20 cemeteries in there, and the family members did not relocate them because of nostalgia. In response to Taipei City Mayor Chiang's "service-oriented government" governance philosophy, Taipei Feitsui Reservoir Administration makes every effort to assist the indigenous residents to return to where they used to live.
